How it works

Recipery reads the schema.org Recipe JSON-LD most recipe sites already embed for Google’s rich-results snippets — no site-specific scraper needed
If the page has no Recipe JSON-LD, the import fails with an error rather than guessing
The hero photo is downloaded and stored alongside the recipe; if the photo fails to download, the import still succeeds without one
The imported recipe records its source (site or author name) and the original URL, shown on the recipe itself
